The Dental Assistant Instructor prepares students with the skills, knowledge, and professionalism needed to thrive in the dental field. This role combines classroom instruction with hands-on lab training to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
Deliver classroom and lab instruction that aligns with course objectives. Prepare and maintain equipment, materials, and learning spaces. Monitor attendance, maintain accurate records, and submit grades on time. Follow lesson plans and syllabi to ensure instructional goals are met. Provide tutoring and guidance to support student success. Participate in meetings, training, and professional development activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional learning environment. Report incidents or concerns promptly. Comply with institutional, state, and accreditation standards. Perform other related duties as assigned.Education and Experience:
Post-secondary certificate or degree in Dental Assisting or a related field (per TWC and ABHES standards). Active certification or licensure recognized by state and accrediting agencies. 1-2 years of professional or instructional experience preferred.
