Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced bilingual Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional patient care while providing efficient chairside assistance and administrative support. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to foster a positive patient experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a valued member of our practice, you will play a critical role in supporting dental procedures, maintaining compliance with infection control standards, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, organizing materials, and ensuring all equipment is properly set up prior to procedures. Take and process dental radiographs using digital imaging systems, including traditional X-ray technology and 3D scanning equipment, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Accurately document patient information and treatment notes using electronic dental record systems such as Eaglesoft. Record vital signs and monitor patient comfort and well-being throughout treatment. Adhere to all infection control and sterilization protocols, utilizing proper aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Educate patients on treatment procedures, post-operative care, and oral health practices. Assist with front office and administrative responsibilities, including appointment scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, insurance documentation, and record management. Collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure exceptional patient care and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification and licensure as required by state regulations. Proficiency in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures. Experience operating dental radiography equipment and maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards. Knowledge of electronic dental records (EHR/EMR) systems, including Eaglesoft software. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and patient confidentiality requirements. Demonstrated ability to perform infection control and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and CDC guidelines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy clinical setting. Why Join Our Team?
