We are looking for a versatile rockstar. While your primary focus will be delivering the "WOW!" experience to our ortho patients, our team thrives on collaboration—meaning on non-ortho days, you'll step in to support our general dentistry side. It's the perfect role to keep your skills sharp, your days interesting, and your teamwork strong! What You'll Do (Your Ortho & General Role): As a crucial part of our clinical team, you will seamlessly float between ortho and general dentistry duties:
Ortho & Chairside Excellence:
Assist chairside with orthodontic and general procedures, including removing excess cement from bands, applying pit/fissure sealants, and adapting temporary crowns.
Preventative Care:
Perform high-quality coronal polishing and apply topical fluoride treatments.
Lab Artistry & Tech:
Take impressions, pour/trim models, and fabricate orthodontic retainers, appliances, and custom mouthguards. Take sharp digital X-rays (Nomad portable system) and intra-oral photos.
Patient Coaching:
Deliver enthusiastic oral hygiene instruction tailored to both general patients and those with braces/aligners to ensure amazing results.
Safety Superstars:
Maintain a spotless clinic by managing infection control to meet OSHA and CDC standards (sterilization, disinfection, and room turnaround).
What We Are Looking For:
The Must-Haves:
License:
Current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
Certifications:
Coronal Polishing Certificate (Preferred) and a current BLS (CPR) Certification.
Flexibility:
Excited to work in Orthodontics and cross-train/help with General Dentistry when needed.
Availability:
Ability to work weekends to accommodate our busy students and families.
Commute:
Reliably commute to our Laredo, TX 78045 location. The Awesome-to-Haves (Preferred):
Experience:
Prior experience working in Orthodontics is highly preferred!
Bilingual:
Fluent in English and Spanish (a massive plus for connecting with our Laredo community).
Vibe:
Strong communication skills, great multi-tasking abilities, and a naturally kind, upbeat personality.
