Job Description

Pediatric dentistry is not for everyone. Children wiggle. Some are nervous. Some cry. Some laugh the entire appointment. And sometimes all of that happens in the same hour. But the right assistant knows something important: Behind every nervous child is an opportunity to help them feel brave, proud, and successful. At Dentistry for Children , we are looking for a Pediatric Dental Assistant who enjoys helping children succeed — even when the moment is challenging. This is a position for someone who: Stays calm when a child is anxious Speaks kindly and confidently to children and parents Moves efficiently in a fast-paced environment Supports teammates without being asked Finds joy in small victories (like a child who was scared last visit but smiles this time) If you prefer a slow, quiet clinical environment, pediatric dentistry may not be the right fit. But if you enjoy energy, teamwork, and making a real difference in children's lives , we would love to meet you. Responsibilities Assist doctor during pediatric procedures Support behavior guidance and patient comfort Take radiographs as permitted by licensure Maintain sterilization and infection control Prepare treatment rooms Provide post-op instructions to parents Help maintain efficient patient flow Qualifications Current TSBDE Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) CPR for healthcare providers with AED (BLS) Pediatric dental experience is a plus but not required Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills Our Culture We believe great pediatric dentistry happens when a team is: Kind to children Supportive of each other Accountable for their work Proud of the care they provide Pay is dependent of experience, as well as expanded duties certifications.
