We are looking for a detail-oriented, upbeat, dependable and experienced orthodontic assistant to join our team. Interested applicants should be willing to work at least 4 days a week and have a minimum of two years of orthodontic assisting experience. Duties Assist orthodontist(s) during various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance installations, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take digital 2D and 3D dental X-rays, including 3D digital intra-oral scans (e.g. iTero scanner), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic care and explain treatment procedures using clear dental terminology. Coordinate with the dental reception team to schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and handle administrative tasks efficiently.
Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
