Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, where your expertise will help transform smiles and boost confidence! In this vital role, you will support the orthodontist by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment. Duties Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including placement and removal of braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners Maintain accurate records and documentation Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices tailored to pediatric dentistry and general dentistry need Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow Experience Previous experience working in an Orthodontic office. Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and medical documentation Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment Experience with medical coding and understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Join us in delivering exceptional orthodontic care that transforms lives!
