Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and clinical support will help us create confident smiles and promote overall oral health. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take digital dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using Open Dental while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and records. Operate advanced dental technology including itero 3D scanners and CBCT Educate patients on oral health practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment care instructions. Ensure all clinical areas adhere to infection control standards and proper waste disposal procedures. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting with experience in general dentistry, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of medical records and documentation. Capable of supporting general dentistry procedures with patience and professionalism.
