In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinical operations, and support patient care with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help create a positive experience for every patient. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment dedicated to delivering high-quality dental care. Duties Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures including restorations, extractions. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Provide dental education to patients about procedures, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment care. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical documentation and records. Ensure all clinical equipment is sterilized and maintained according to infection control guidelines. Assist with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document treatments. Qualifications Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in a pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with Eaglesoft; familiarity with medical records management is preferred. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of pediatric dental assisting procedures, terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and compassionately while supporting team collaboration.
