Job Description

Hello there! We are a family owned dental office looking to add a registered dental assistant to our amazing team! Our office is conveniently located off the 288 highway off Meridiana Pkwy. We are a husband and wife owned practice that puts an emphasis on a high quality dental experience for our patients. We are looking for team members that are eager to learn and can work as a team. Minimum Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High school diploma/GED or equivalent education Two years of training in dental-assisting preferred or equivalent; certification preferred, but not required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or ability to obtain certification Knowledge of dental clinic procedures encompassing receiving, routing, and scheduling patients Knowledge of the instruments, materials, and standardized dental procedures used in the full variety of treatments provided in general dentistry procedures to make preparations and provide chair-side assistance Working knowledge and ability to take diagnostic dental radiographs Knowledge and skill in detecting signs of syncope, choking, apnea, or other side reactions to dental treatment or sedation in-patients Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards Thorough computer skills utilizing software used to store and retrieve patient and office information Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.) Excellent customer service skills. Ability to diffuse a negative situation. Working knowledge of the English language; excellent oral and written communication Excellent listening skills and team work Ability to coordinate with equipment and instruments using discretion Effective time management skills Ability to comfortably adhere with finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness Skills - know hows to work with: autoclave, digital x-rays, CBCT, ultrasonic, nitrous oxide, laser, intraoral camera, intraoral scanner, handpieces, endodontic instruments General office duties as required. Pay will be determined by skill and experience. We hope to meet you soon :)
