The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient care, and office management. This role requires proficiency in various dental technologies and practices, including EMR systems, chairside assisting, and infection control. The Dental Assistant will work closely with dentists to provide high-quality care to patients in a welcoming environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing chairside support. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care. Perform vital signs checks and assist in the management of medical documentation. Utilize dental software systems such as Open dental for patient management. Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control protocols. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, general dentistry practices Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Aseptic technique knowledge is required to ensure patient safety during procedures.
