Dental Assistant Affordable Care, LLC - 2.9 Tyler, TX Job Details Full-time 16 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Healthcare infection prevention and control expertise High school diploma or GED Dental terminology Disinfection procedures Full Job Description Position Summary The Dental Assistant (DA) provides chairside support to dentists and clinical teams in the delivery of high-quality dental care, including dentures, dental implants, prosthetics, extractions, and oral surgery procedures. This role is responsible for assisting with patient treatment, taking dental impressions, performing radiographs, sterilization, patient education, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Assist dentists during dental implant, denture, oral surgery, and restorative procedures Provide chairside assistance during patient exams and treatment Take and process dental X-rays (where permitted by state regulations) Assist with dental impressions, wax bites, and prosthetic procedures Support denture fittings, adjustments, and insertions under dentist supervision Prepare treatment rooms and instruments before procedures Maintain proper infection control and sterilization protocols Patient Care Deliver exceptional customer service and patient support Educate patients on treatment options, denture solutions, aftercare instructions, and pricing Review patient information and maintain accurate clinical records Escort patients through treatment and checkout processes Support positive patient experiences throughout their care journey Office & Operational Support Open and prepare the office for daily operations Maintain clean and organized operatories and workspaces Manage clinical inventory and order supplies as needed Complete required documentation accurately and timely Participate in training, continuing education, and team development initiatives Qualifications Required Active Dental Assistant (DA) certification (if required by state) Active Dental X-Ray Certification (where required) High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting procedures Preferred 1+ year of Dental Assistant experience Experience with dentures, dental implants, oral surgery, prosthodontics, or extractions Experience taking dental impressions Familiarity with digital radiography and dental software systems Skills & Competencies Chairside dental assisting Dental implant procedures Denture and prosthetic support Oral surgery assistance Dental impressions and wax bites Digital X-rays and radiography Instrument sterilization and infection control Patient education and communication Attention to detail and organization Team collaboration and customer service Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, bend, and move throughout the workday Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in a clinical dental environment Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control procedure
