We are looking for a Part-Time (Thursdays' only) Registered Dental Assistant to provide support in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the provider, ensuring a positive and efficient patient experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.) Greet and welcome patients in a friendly, professional manner Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding Set up and organize instruments, equipment, and materials needed for procedures Sterilize instruments in accordance with safety and infection control guidelines Assist the dentist using four-handed dentistry techniques Perform basic laboratory tasks as directed Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked dental operatory Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic flow Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment processes Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this role successfully, the individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience High school diploma required Completion of a dental assistant program preferred Additional certifications or training are a plus Computer Skills Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Basic internet and computer navigation skills Ability to perform data entry efficiently (10-key preferred) Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, and frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks. Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or balancing may be required. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment This position may involve exposure to airborne particles, infectious diseases, biohazardous materials, blood, and bodily fluids.
