Registered Dental Assistant

Marquis Mobile Dental Center (MMDS), and its management company, ExcelHealth Group, LLC, is looking to fill an exciting and fulfilling traveling DA position. MMDS is a dental company providing comprehensive dental care for residents of long-term care facilities. Our services are delivered via state-of-the-art mobile dental clinics which arrive onsite each day at a different nursing home. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow in both the dental and long-term care industries. Each clinic provides a small, inviting environment creating a safe space to deliver great care and on-the-job training experience. Travel:

Four (4) to five (5) days per week throughout Texas.

Overnight Stays:

This position frequently requires travel with overnight stays three (3) to four (4) nights per week.

Distance:

Our clinics service long-term care facilities across the state.

Team:

The clinic staff typically meets at a designated location and travel together in a company vehicle as a team of three that includes the clinic manager, a dental assistant, and a patient transporter. Dentists generally arrive separately to the facilities.

Requirements:

See travel requirements and details above. This position requires an existing DA certificate. Must have or obtain Radiographer certification/license to assist with X-rays. As needed, may help transport residents in wheelchairs and geriatric chairs to and from the nursing facility to the dental unit which is typically parked right outside of the building in the parking lot. Must select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed for the Dentist to properly treat patients. Must sterilize instruments according to in-house policy and procedures and government or industry regulation. Must pay attention to detail and maintain a well-organized and reliable treatment environment. Must possess a desire to work with residents of nursing homes. Must demonstrate concern for the patient's well-being and an understanding of cultural sensitivity. Must be willing and able to communicate with facility staff and elderly patients clearly and respectfully. Must be assist, as needed, with clinic maintenance, cleaning, and sterilizing procedures. Must be punctual and attentive to schedules and procedures. Must be flexible with schedule.

Compensation:

Transportation, overnight hotel, and daily meal budget for travel directly tied to overnight stays are covered when traveling for company business. Paid windshield/traveling time. Paid company-recognized holidays
