Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a fun energetic, dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our Orthodontic team. The ideal candidate will support orthodontic procedures, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental assisting techniques, familiarity with orthodontic treatments, and excellent communication skills. The Orthodontic Assistant will play a vital role in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols Assist the orthodontist during procedures such as bracket placement, adjustments, and repairs Take dental X-rays and utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics Manage patient records using EMR system, while ensuring HIPAA compliance Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to aseptic techniques Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing dental documentation Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting, preferably within orthodontics or pediatric dentistry Proficiency with EMR systems, familiarity with medical records management Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control standards in dental clinics Ability to perform chairside assisting including four-handed dentistry and vital signs measurement Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanning technology Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Certification or training in dental assisting preferred; knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry is advantageous Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients effectively Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
