Job Description

Job description Seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our fun and hard working private practice. Candidates must be able to work full day shifts of 8-9 hrs, a minimum of 3 days a week and must be available on Fridays. We require a 1 year minimum commitment to be considered for employment .   • Assist the dentist and hygienist with all types of patient treatment. Additional experience with implants, wisdom teeth extractions, cosmetic cases, Cone Beam, 3-D printing, Orthodontics, and Cerec are a plus.
  • Assist the dentist by entering treatment plans into Dentrix software and educating patients on procedures, options, expectations, and post operative care.
  • This position is a secondary leadership position which requires the ability to multi task and coordinate with both the front and back office to ensure an efficient appointment flow throughout the day.
You will be responsible for leading other employees as they perform tasks to improve the overall patient experience from beginning to end.
Basic Expectations:

  • Work efficiently and productively with all staff members. Treat fellow employees with respect and kindness. (We don't throw tantrums or instruments here)
  • Communicate effectively by keeping accurate and detailed patient records, sending/answering emails and texts in a timely manner and educating patients on the many options of conservative restorative to optional cosmetic procedures.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile dental office environment. ( This one is obvious, but we also don't leave leftovers in the fridge and we don't eat other peoples lunches )
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of previous chair side dental assisting experience. Experience does not have to be consecutive. Past experience as an assistant is accepted.
  • Proficient knowledge of dental procedures, techniques, equipment, and software.
  • Strong understanding of dental anatomy, oral health, disease prevention, and the ability to share that knowledge effectively.
  • Experience with medical imaging technologies such as digital X-rays, Prime Scan or other digital scanners
  • Front office and insurance experience is a plus. Compensation
  • Wage rage of $22
  • 29 per hour. based on length of experience and quality of work. We will do a performance review at 3 months and each anniversary to make appropriate adjustments.
  • Additional benefits are available for those who work 4.5 days a week

Our dental assistants work 3 to 4.5 days a week and average between 27 and 40 hours. Our office is open from 7:40am to 5:15pm each day. We do not work weekends.
