Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Experienced Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient care. Your expertise in dental procedures, medical documentation, and clinic operations will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your comprehensive dental assisting skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting committed to excellence. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment Manage electronic health records (EMR systems) like Dentrix to ensure accurate medical documentation and records management Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and infection control practices to promote oral health literacy Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations and industry standards Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed by scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong background in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic, and familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and medical terminology Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and medical imaging procedures like X-ray interpretation Ability to operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic tools efficiently Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate patients clearly Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing compassionate care with precision and professionalism.
