The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring smooth operations within the dental practice. This position involves assisting dentists during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various dental procedures (Crowns, Implants, Root Canals, etc,) ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Perform chairside duties using four-handed and six- handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment for all dental procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with patient flow to optimize office operations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control protocols within the practice. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and more. Skills Proven experience in dental assisting with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Proficiency in using Open Dental for managing patient records, imaging and appointments. Knowledge of medical documentation practices and ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
