You will support dentists across a variety of procedures, ensuring patients receive comfortable, efficient treatment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; ensure accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Support patients by explaining procedures, answering questions about dental terminology, and assisting with medical documentation for insurance or medical coding purposes. Maintain aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to uphold the highest standards of infection control within the dental clinic environment. Collaborate with team members including dental receptionists to coordinate appointments and ensure seamless patient experiences. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology. Familiarity with patient management systems such as Opendental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry and specialized fields like pediatrics. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding standards related to dental care. Competency in taking dental X-rays (including digital imaging), operating 3D scanners, and understanding anatomy relevant to dentistry. Excellent communication skills to support patients through procedures involving vital signs measurement and medical imaging explanations. Hep B vaccine Certification in CPR or BLS is preferred; ongoing training in pediatric dentistry or endodontics is advantageous.
