Job Description
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and recording medical history
- Assist with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models
- Use computer software system for scheduling appointments and managing patient records
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Current X-ray certification is preferred
- 2+ years of dental assisting experience preferred
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team.
