Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming environment that promotes oral health and confidence for every patient. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Assist dentists chairside during various procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards Provide vital signs monitoring and medical documentation for patients requiring medical history updates or special care needs Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, appointment scheduling, and patient communication to foster a smooth workflow Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and assist with insurance claims Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in accordance with state regulations Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, preferably with pediatric dentistry experience Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy, and dental procedures across multiple specialties such as prosthodontics and endodontics Familiarity with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, team members, and external healthcare providers Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through a vibrant team committed to excellence!
