Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly contribute to creating beautiful smiles and improving patients' confidence! In this energetic role, you will assist orthodontists in delivering exceptional patient care by providing chairside support, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist orthodontists during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays, including panoramic and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Ortho2Edge, documenting treatment details accurately. Educate patients on orthodontic care, including appliance maintenance, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions. Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage. Understanding of HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy at all times. Prior experience supporting orthodontic treatment is mandatory.
