Full-Time Pediatric Dental Assistant

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Dental Assistant to provide exceptional chairside support, ensuring every child has a comfortable, positive, and "brave" experience. In this role, your technical expertise meets pediatric passion. This position offers the flexibility to support our community across both our Ashburn and Leesburg locations.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence:

Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorative work, and orthodontic treatments using efficient four-handed dentistry.

Safety & Sterilization:

Prepare and break down treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment meets strict safety and infection control protocols.

Radiography:

Capture high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) while maintaining proper aseptic techniques.

Patient Monitoring:

Observe vital signs and review medical histories to ensure the safety and comfort of our young patients throughout their visit.

Education:

Empower patients and guardians with clear, friendly instructions on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment recovery.

Documentation:

Maintain precise records within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring all data is accurate and HIPAA-compliant.

Qualifications Experience:

At least 1 year of dental assisting experience. A background in a pediatric setting is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix). Experience with 3D scanners and digital imaging is a plus.

Clinical Knowledge:

Solid understanding of infection control standards, anatomy, and various dental specialties.

Certifications:

Must hold a current X-ray Certification and active BLS/CPR certifications.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to connect with children and their parents.

Adaptability:

Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment and the flexibility to rotate between our Ashburn and Leesburg offices based on business needs.
