Job Description

Overview As we are in the process of expanding our clinic, we are looking for dental assistant to join our terrific team!! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting while contributing to improved oral health outcomes. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all materials are ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using Curve Dental EMR, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining proper aseptic technique throughout procedures. Support infection control protocols and maintain a clean, sterile environment following OSHA standards. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations, including greeting patients as a dental receptionist when needed. Assist with the use of medical imaging equipment to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote long-term dental health. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, and aseptic technique. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience working with EMR (electronic Medical Records) for managing medical records and documentation. Familiarity with X-ray procedures, digital imaging etc used in modern dental practices. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring patient confidentiality at all times. Prior experience in general dentistry or specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics is highly valued. Pay:
$25.68 - $31.00 per hour
