The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, clinical procedures, and comfortable with lecture in front of an audience. This job will require the individual to be present in person Monday evenings 5:30p- 9:30p, and Sunday 730am-4pm. Duties Assist the owner with lecture of dental assisting information. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after use. Maintain accurate student records, including documentation review and progress reports. Educate students on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with students. Support the students in clinical research activities, including participation in clinical trials. Utilize learning management systems (LMS) for training purposes and curriculum development. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive studnet resources. Skills Proficient in dental terminology and medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare environment. Experience in supervising staff or students, fostering a collaborative learning atmosphere. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and public health principles relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with Blackboard or similar educational platforms for teaching purposes. Background in critical care or acute care settings is advantageous. Experience working with students in higher education or adult education contexts is preferred. Understanding of veterinary terminology and animal physiology may be beneficial for specific practice areas. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation accuracy.
