This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced dental professionals, supporting both general and orthodontic treatments. You will play a vital part in ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering compassionate patient assistance, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including orthodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, and general dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records using Open Dental, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions in clear, understandable language. Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and managing patient flow. Maintain infection control standards and ensure all clinical areas are sanitized according to HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines. Skills Proficiency with ortho procedures to include taking digital impressions with the iTero and other orthodontic procedures Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry as well as specialized fields like prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and accurately. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy at all times. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
