Job Description
We are in need of a positive, hospitality oriented, reliable, and punctual assistant. As a general practice with a wide range of procedures offered, we will need an assistant with at least 1 year of experience. More experience is preferred, however 1 year will be enough for you to step into the role and grow with confidence. Similarly, an assistant with chairside operative general practice experience is ideal, however this position can be focused to a simpler role of hygiene and sterilization if that experience is not yet acquired. We might be your perfect fit if the following describes you: Enjoys completing objectives and being recognized for doing so Works well in small teams Engages patients while progressing appointments Professional Efficiency oriented Prioritizes customer service Comfortable with receiving training and feedback Adept at communicating treatment recommendations and their rationale Knows how to smile Fundamental skills that will be used most in this role Assisting with hygiene procedures Taking and processing x-rays Coronal polishing Assisting DDS with exams and taking notes Communicating treatment recommendations Scheduling hygiene and restorative treatment appointments Communicating with front office personnel Sterilizing instruments Simple lab tasks and organization At Finn Hill Dental we are fortunate to serve a very pleasant patient base. If you have robust experience, then we will integrate you quickly into all aspects of the practice. However, if you have less experience then your primary focus will be working directly with our hygienist and being the primary driver of the sterilization department. You will have the opportunity to contribute in significant and meaningful ways which will allow you to progress within our practice. This can include expanding into more operative procedures with doctor assisting, but is not an immediate requirement.
