Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including prosthodontics and general dentistry tasks. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take medical imaging, including X-rays, as directed by the dentist. Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed, functioning as a dental receptionist when required. Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure their safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of dental terminology related to dental practices is essential. Familiarity with dental systems and documentation processes is advantageous. Proficiency in dental imaging techniques is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in assisting during procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
