In this vital role, you will provide exceptional administrative support and clinical assistance, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinic operations. Your energetic attitude and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric and general dentistry settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various dental specialties while supporting a collaborative team dedicated to delivering top-quality care. Duties Assist with front desk responsibilities, including patient check-in, appointment scheduling, and managing medical records using Open Dental Software. Support clinical staff by providing chairside assistance during procedures across specialties like Crowns, bridges, Dentures, Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Implants. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and process X-rays and scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Manage documentation, including vital signs, medical histories, and dental terminology to ensure accurate records. Coordinate with insurance providers for billing and coding using medical coding standards; assist with patient education on treatment plans and post-care instructions. Maintain a clean, organized environment by following infection control procedures and ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized. Skills Proficiency with Open Dental. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry highly preferred. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and scanners safely and accurately. Familiarity with terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Excellent communication skills; capable of providing clear instructions and compassionate patient support.
