Job Description

Downriver Smiles is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant for a support role to join our team. Are you an experienced Dental Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care? If so, we'd love to meet you. About the Role This position is ideal for a skilled assistant who is confident in a wide range of chairside procedures and committed to creating a smooth, efficient, and comfortable experience for both patients and providers. You'll play a key role in supporting our clinical operations across general, restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist efficiently during a variety of procedures Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout visits Take high-quality X-rays and provide post-op instructions Take impressions, perform scanning, and fabricate temporary crowns Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control standards Manage inventory and operatory setup Accurately chart and document patient records and treatment plans Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to keep schedules running smoothly Qualifications Minimum 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience Current state dental assisting license/registration Strong clinical skills across general and restorative procedures Current CPR/BLS certification Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief cover letter outlining your experience and why you'd be a great fit for our team.
