Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists and hygienists by providing chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments and materials efficiently. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans, while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Maintain strict infection control practices using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and uphold clinic standards. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote health literacy. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology. Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups for various specialties including pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, fostering a positive experience. Ability to handle medical coding accurately for insurance claims and record keeping purposes. Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
