Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, infection control protocols, and effective communication skills to ensure a smooth workflow within the office. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Perform tasks such as taking dental X-rays, preparing dental materials, and managing patient records. Document medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with practice standards. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and processing billing. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Operate 3D scanners as needed for specific procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging. Experience Previous 1 year experience in dental assisting is preferred Familiarity with infection control standards and medical terminology is essential. Experience with dental software systems like Open Dental is a plus. Knowledge of 3D scanning technology is advantageous but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
