As an RDA, you will be instrumental in assisting with patient care, managing dental procedures, and maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments. Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to proper infection control protocols. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation when necessary for patients with special needs or medical conditions. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions in a friendly and professional manner. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow smoothly. Experience Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; fresh graduates with relevant coursework or externship experience are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is a plus. Basic understanding of dental radiography including X-ray safety protocols and proficiency in taking intraoral images. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent patient care standards. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and educate patients about their treatments.
