Experienced Dental Assistant

Our privately owned practice is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

Part time while in training. Full time coverage for another assistant, plus coverage for a maternity leave. Full time potential in the future.

Monday:

7:30am- 5:00pm

Tuesday:

6:30am -4:00pm

Wednesday:

6:30am-3:00pm

Thursday:

7:30am-2:00pm

Dental Assistant Qualifications:

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and process X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using Open Dental, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform routine tasks such as sterilizing instruments, cleaning treatment rooms, and managing inventory of supplies. Utilize 3D scanners (iTero)for imaging when required, enhancing the precision of dental treatments.

Experience:

Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the healthcare environment. Experience with Open Dental is preferred.
