Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our dental team. In this role, you will provide chairside assistance, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a smooth workflow within our busy practice. The ideal candidate is passionate about dentistry, highly organized, and possesses strong technical skills to elevate our practice's standards of excellence. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the activities of dental assistants and support staff to ensure seamless clinic operations Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques and infection control protocols are strictly followed Manage medical documentation Conduct chairside assisting with skills in X-ray imaging, vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and 3D scanner operation Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and maintain excellent communication to enhance patient experience Oversee compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with expertise in dental assisting procedures across various specialties such as pediatrics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology Proficiency in EMR systems Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards Familiarity with medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other advanced diagnostic tools Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Certification in dental assisting or equivalent credentials; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or medical coding are a plus Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and infection control protocols in a dental clinic setting Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate patients about their treatments Join us as a Lead Dental Assistant where your expertise will drive exceptional patient care while leading a dedicated team.
