Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to dentists and ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Taking digital dental radiographs Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment Provide patients with oral care instructions following surgery and other procedures Take digital impressions of patients' teeth for study casts Perform office management tasks Communicate with patients and suppliers, which involves scheduling appointments, answering phones, billing and ordering supplies. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems for managing medical records and documentation Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner operation Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures in a dental setting Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures confidently Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during patient care Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate patients about treatment plans Experience is helpful, but not needed. This job is listed for our Manitowish Waters primarily, but you may be required to travel to our other offices if needed. Our office provides high quality care to patients and we want you to help provide just that!
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:
