In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and preventive practices to promote oral health. Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records with precision. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems Treatment planning Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards. Experience assisting in pediatric dentistry and handling diverse patient needs with compassion and professionalism. Certification or training in chairside assisting, dental assisting programs or relevant coursework preferred.
