Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, ensuring their experience is positive from check-in to check-out. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards. Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting with general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry cases. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) and operate medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Provide excellent dental reception services by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation and records. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients requiring special care or pediatric dentistry. Support the dental team with administrative duties such as medical coding, updating medical records, and coordinating referrals when necessary. Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and terminology. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix ; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Skilled in taking X-rays, operating dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners, and performing chairside assisting across various specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent patient care standards.
