We are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. We invest in advanced technology — including cone beam CT imaging and in-office 3D printing — and take pride in a clinical culture that values precision, professionalism, and genuine patient relationships. The Opportunity We're looking for a skilled and personable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team four days a week. This is a full-time role in a well-equipped, privately owned practice where your work is valued and your schedule is respected.
What You'll Do Clinical Assessments:
Perform preliminary oral charting, triage, and comprehensive dental hygiene assessments
Treatment Planning:
Alongside the dentist, formulate patient-specific dental hygiene treatment plans
Preventative Care:
Remove calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from exposed and subgingival tooth surfaces (comprehensive scaling and debridement)
Periodontal Therapy:
Perform nonsurgical periodontal therapy (root planing) and administer localized periodontal therapeutic agents into gum pockets when appropriate
Anatomical Care:
Removal of marginal overhangs on existing restorations
Anesthesia Delivery:
Administer local anesthetic agents safely and effectively (appropriate Alaska state certification required)
Radiographs:
Take and review radiographs, including digital
X-rays Patient Education:
Educate patients on oral hygiene and support long-term care planning
Clinical Documentation:
Document clinical findings accurately and collaborate with the doctor on patient care
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the doctor and clinical team
Recall System Management:
Oversee patient recall duties, monitoring intervals to ensure patients return for timely routine care
Appointment Booking:
Schedule future hygiene appointments and manage patient follow-ups before they leave the chair What We're Looking For Active Alaska RDH license (or eligibility to obtain) Strong clinical skills and a warm, patient-centered approach Reliable, team-oriented, and professional Experience preferred — new grads with strong clinical training welcome Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly rate to start, transitioning to percentage of collections as your patient base builds CE allowance 401(k) Four-day work week Why Anchorage?
