Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral health care! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, promote patient education, and ensure a comfortable, positive experience for every patient. Your expertise will help maintain optimal oral health standards while supporting the overall success of our dental practice. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor and document vital signs, medical history updates, and treatment progress throughout patient visits. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively about treatment plans and oral health education. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical coding practices. Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is highly desirable.
