We are looking for a team member who wants to be a part of growing our practice into the future. Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and assist in creating a positive dental experience for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to improve oral health. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and dental records to ensure safe and effective care. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive care strategies. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to increase efficiency and comfort. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Review documentation for accuracy, update electronic medical records (EMR systems), and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance with dental terminology knowledge and professionalism. Requirements Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to perform patient care duties including vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation review accurately. Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines for maintaining confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information.
