Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup, SRP and laser. Take and interpret vital signs, medical imaging, and medical history reviews to assess patient health status. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options. Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow. Review and update medical records accurately while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Conduct patient assessments, including evaluating dental and medical terminology for proper documentation. Support infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and maintaining a sterile environment. Use EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping. Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure comprehensive patient care in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assisting with professionalism and compassion. Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in dental assisting, infection control, and medical coding. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pediatric dentistry practices. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to medical records. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas like infection control, anatomy knowledge, and documentation review. Assist in calling patient for recall.
