This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise in general dentistry, ensuring exceptional patient care and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and documentation. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and a passion for promoting oral health in a fast-paced environment. Paid employment is guaranteed for the duration of this temporary position, providing valuable experience and professional growth. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, with attention to detail Take and interpret vital signs, medical imaging, and other diagnostic data to support patient assessments Review and update medical records accurately while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care tailored to general dentistry cases Manage infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards Document clinical findings, treatment notes, and medical coding accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials in good standing Proven experience in dental office settings, particularly within general dentistry practices Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental coding practices Familiarity with EMR system Dentrix for documentation review and record management Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Join us for this dynamic six-week opportunity where your skills will make a meaningful difference!
