We are looking for a part time hygienist with a great personality and commitment to high-level service. Our dental practice has provided comprehensive dental care in Fremont for over 50 years with current owners practicing in this location 25+ and 15+ years respectively. Hours are 9 AM-5PM Mon-Fri. We have a large referral base with tenured staff. We are seeking a long- term hygienist with excellent communication, skills, and integrity. Our current availability is for all days with more need on Mon, Tues and Friday. (Sal $62-68/day) Please come join our practice! We have several specialties in our location with a wide variety of general dental, endodontic, orthodontic, surgical, and other procedures. Working closely helping patients in a variety of ways is fun and rewarding. This is a part-time position with possible medical, dental, sick pay and paid holiday for full time employees. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to tailor treatment plans. Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort. Take X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories within Dentrix. Follow strict infection control standards, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety. Monitor and record vital signs during appointments in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and optimal patient experiences. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a private practice setting or dental clinic environment. Proficiency with Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical coding. Experience working with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for working with diverse patient populations is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information.
