The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during treatments. This position involves working closely with dentists in both pediatric and general dentistry settings, utilizing advanced techniques in patient assessment and medical imaging. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations. Provide preventive dental care by cleaning teeth, applying sealants, and administering fluoride treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information. Collaborate with the dental team to create a welcoming environment in the dental office or clinic, particularly for pediatric patients. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Skills Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures in both pediatric and general dentistry settings. Experience with medical imaging techniques to support accurate diagnostics. Excellent patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues effectively. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry principles to enhance workflow during procedures. Ability to work well within a team environment while providing exceptional patient care.
