Role Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, patient-focused, and confident in their clinical skills. Our schedule is well-structured, allowing appropriate time for each appointment, and giving you moderate leeway over your own hours within our standard working days.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including but not limited to teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral health assessments and screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile working environment
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic medical coding systems such as Curve, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Knowledge of dental coding systems for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Familiarity with digital radiography and intraoral imaging technology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients of all ages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
