Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and safety. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current state certification. Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dentistry procedures preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience with chairside assisting, taking vital signs, and medical imaging is highly desirable. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
