Role:

Join our dynamic team at Sycamore Family Dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care while promoting oral health in a welcoming environment. Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment room and execute proper tray setup by following prescribed procedures and protocols Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal assessments. Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Assist in the identification of oral diseases and conditions. Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the system and providing intra-oral photos prior to dentist exam. Record patient medical and dental histories, vital signs and treatment information. Support the patient by providing exceptional interpersonal and technical skills in the delivery of information and care as it relates to receiving treatment. Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols in the clinic. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide exceptional patient care. Stay current with continuing education and advancements in dental hygiene. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA. Participate in the achievement of patient satisfaction and office production goals by working efficiently and providing a high level of patient service. Follow infection control protocol and prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with office policies and procedures, safety and OSHA guidelines. Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Valid California Registered Dental Hygienist license. Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent education. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients. Proficient in dental software and electronic health records. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of dental professionals. Commitment to continuing education and professional development. Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
