Job Description
Our dental team is looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! This is a single dentist, private practice and in this role as an RDH, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, and support overall patient well-being. Our dental hygiene team typically sees 8 patients per day. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments or sealants in collaboration with dentists Ability to maintain accurate and detailed dental records using Dentrix is a plus Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure a positive experience Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology standards Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic setting Knowledge of general dentistry practice Experience with dental imaging technology a must Knowledge of Dentrix is highly desirable Thorough understanding of infection control protocols Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups, including pediatrics Ability to review medical records thoroughly and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
