In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control. Your expertise will help promote oral health and foster positive patient experiences, all while working flexible hours that fit your schedule. Duties Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews Using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ( Opendental + XDR) Rarely will take radiographs Spanish-speaking ( Highly encouraged) Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical history in compliance with HIPAA regulations Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety Experience Proven experience as a dental hygienist in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing Strong understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques in a clinical environment Ability to perform patient care tasks confidently while demonstrating excellent communication skills Prior experience working with Opendental and reviewing medical records to ensure comprehensive patient assessments Room to grow
