Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions using clear dental terminology Capture and review medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Maintain strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including treatment notes and medical coding Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting and vital signs measurement efficiently Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and foster positive patient relationships Knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical imaging techniques is advantageous Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental care in a vibrant environment that values your skills!
